Placeholder — this is not the legal text. The headings are the structure the final document will follow. The wording is to be written and reviewed by a solicitor before this platform takes real learner data. Notes under each heading record what the platform actually does, for whoever drafts it.

Strictly necessary

To be drafted by a solicitor

  • Each strictly necessary cookie or storage item and why it is exempt from consent.

What the platform does — notes for the drafter

  • sb-<project>-auth-token — the sign-in session (Supabase).
  • cc-cookie-consent (local storage) — the visitor’s cookie choice.
  • Display preferences, the welcome-tour flag and unsigned reflection drafts are kept in local storage on the device and never sent to the server.

Analytics (optional)

To be drafted by a solicitor

  • Each optional cookie, its purpose, provider and duration, and that it loads only with consent.

What the platform does — notes for the drafter

  • PostHog (EU) loads only after “Accept analytics”. No session recording, no autocapture of clicks, no text the user writes.

Video playback

To be drafted by a solicitor

  • Cookies set by the video player, and whether they need consent.

What the platform does — notes for the drafter

  • Lesson videos use Mux Player, whose built-in Mux Data analytics sets its own cookie by default. This currently loads without consent — to be decided before launch (turn it off, or put it behind consent).

Managing your choices

To be drafted by a solicitor

  • How to change or withdraw consent.
